WARNING: This is a legal document that affects your rights, if you are uncertain or uncomfortable with some of the conditions of registration then we recommend that you obtain advice to ensure you understand and accept the conditions of entry.

I agree that I/my child/enrolled member can participate in these services and events on the following basis

  1. I understand that I/my child/children should not participate in this event/events unless I am/he or she is/they are in a fit state to compete the event safely. I acknowledge that if I am aware of an existing medical condition and/or uncertain of my/his/her/their state of fitness then a medical practitioner should be consulted prior to participating.
  2. I consent to receiving any medical treatment including ambulance transportation in circumstances where a coach determines as a result of a health incident during or after the service provided or event.
  3. I/my child is following COVID medical advice. If feeling unwell or in close contact will not attend any services
  4. I have disclosed, provided or attached to my enrolment details of any medical or physical condition from which I suffer that might affect my performance or be relevant if medical treatment is needed, including any allergies or injuries. I have supplied an emergency contact name and number. This person is contactable both during and after the event and is not another participant.
  5. Handball Australia is not liable for any lost personal possessions.
  6. Although Safety precautions are undertaken by coaches and organizers (such as cones, first aid, staff training, safety instructions are a service to me and other participants) it is a requirement that participants need to act responsibly and sensibly in events and any other service.
  7. My service registration is not transferable to any other person or other event/service. Any attempt to transfer my entry or allow another person to participate under my name may result in cancellation without refund, insurance being deemed void and inability to enter further services or events.
  8. You, your child/children are insured with Public Liability, Products Liability, property damage and Professional Indemnity under Handball Australia underwriter Sportcover Australia Pty Ltd. I understand that insurance cover in our coaching services may not cover me for all injury, loss or damage sustained by me.
  9. Your coach:

    a. Is insured under icare Workers Compensation

    b. All adult coaches have a Valid NSW working with Children Check check
  10. Add my email address and to Handball Australia e-marketing. You can cancel and unsubscribe at any time.
  11. Give permission for me/my child/children when registered in our coaching services, camp or competitions to participate or be involved in:

    a. shuttle bus transportation when purchased and where needed

    b. Indoor sports facility entry,

    c. excursions

    d. ten pin/strike bowling

    e. movie excursions

    f. Inter club challenges

    g. Amazing Race Westfield/Chatswood Chase, and all affiliated excursions at Handball Australia camps throughout term coaching

    h. sport classes, private lessons, Christmas party or special events.
  12. Accept Membership to Handball Australia
  13. Competition: Abide by Handball Australia competition rules, etiquette, terms and conditions.
  14. Accept rewards such as prizes, ice blocks, sweets, lollies, toys, soft drinks or chips. In circumstances where there maybe allergy issues or your child is not allowed food, please inform Handball Australia
  15. You or your child may be photographed, and placed on our website, social marketing associations or brochures. Please inform us if you do not wish this to happen
  16. Lesson Makeups/Cancellations/Transfers:

    a. Group lessons & Privates. Service is transferable to a following term or sibling. Cancellation must be made within 1 hours of the lesson otherwise full price will be paid and no makeup will be given. Transfer to another class/day/time during the term period is permitted pending vacancies. Group privates: If one person cancels and the other student attends, its considered a completed lesson and no makeup is given

    b. School Sport/PSSA Sport: On rainy days if you are away or cancel no makeup lesson will be given. Full price will be paid with no refund

    c. Handball Australia Camp: are on rain, hail or shine. We provide a full wet weather program. Including Bus transport, Chatswood excursions, Amazing Race, indoor Handball Australia & sports, movies, Strike/AMF Bowling, Laser Skirmish and Theory is conducted in the clubhouse. If your child is sick or injured and have a casual booking you may cancel (1 hour notification must be given) and rebook another day or credited to another camp.
  17. Star Rewards & Membership cards

    a. A membership in the form of a lanyard and star rewards card has been provided to your child as a participant of Handball Australia and its programs including but not limited to Handball Australia coaching, clinics, competitions and or holiday camps.

    b. The membership card distributed provides a medium for which your child can earn ‘stars’ as a form of positive reinforcement for their efforts throughout programs listed above.

    c. ‘Stars’ earned on a membership can be traded in for prizes of monetary value subject to availability and stock.

    d. ‘Stars’ are non transferrable, meaning they cannot be shared, distributed, moved and or used with, by or to another individual. Handball Australia reserves the right to remove single or multiple stars from an individual’s membership if they deem an individual’s behaviour detracts from the participation of others..

    e. If an individual forgets, loses, defaces, and or uses another individual’s membership card or stars, Handball Australia reserves the right to refuse to give stars to an individual until the problem is rectified. We will write names on memberships

    f. If kids loose there stars they start from 0. A strong lesson in responsibility and sportsmanship.

    g. If children and caught cheating they go back to

    Prizes

    h. Any advertised prizes incorporated in the Star Rewards trade and save program are subject to availability and stock. Handball Australia reserves the right to alter the value of prizes without prior notice to clients and individuals.

    i. Lost Memberships

    j. Handball Australia is not responsible, (in whole or part) for the loss of a provided membership card.
    An administration fee of $5 will be charged for a replacement membership card where loss or damage occurs.

    k. Any stars which are lost in conjunction with a membership card may or may not be replaced at the sole discretion of the staff of Handball Australia. They will start from 0 stars. Handball Australia reserves the right to refuse partial or whole replacement of any stars lost in conjunction with the membership in question. The situation of each individual will be handled on a case by case basis.

    Conclusion

    l. Handball Australia is not responsible for any loss or damage caused to the individual or individuals associated with the Star Rewards program – including, but not limited to students, individuals, parents and guardians. Handball Australia reserves the right to modify this policy with or without the prior communication to its clients.
  18. Enrolments: Must be made on our website. If you cannot process payment please request and invoice or pay directly at the club
  19. Discounts: Only apply via payments online, with the code and by the due date.
  20. No refunds or credits will be given. Unless person is injured, excessive rain delays or by government mandated COVID restrictions
  21. Extra Supervision

    This must be booked on our website. If your child is away or does not need this service we must be notified. Failure to contact us once, you will be warned. Twice, your child will be removed from the service. An $83.95 fee for Extra Supervision re-enrolment must be paid. Hours of supervision are from 3:15pm – 5:30pm term time and 8am – 5:30pm holiday time.
  22. Any inappropriate and/or unlawful behaviour such as damage/vandalism of our property or vehicles, abusive or offensive behaviour including but not limited to sexist and/or racist and/or bullying and/or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate cancellation from our services. Fees will not be refunded. Any repairs, clean up costs will be charged and will be the liability of you, the parent or guardian.
  23. By participating, I accept all risks necessarily flowing from my participation that could result in injury. Accordingly, I release all persons or corporations associated directly or indirectly with the conduct of the event from all claims demands and proceedings arising out of my participation and I hereby indemnify them against, all liability (including liability for their negligence and negligence of others) for all injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this event. This release shall extend to and include Handball Australia event organizers and their respective directors, partners, managers, officers, agents, contractors, employees and volunteers including event medical and paramedical personnel. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns.
  24. You warrant that

    a. all personal details provided are true and accurate;

    b. you have all necessary rights as a student, parent or guardian to grant the rights;

    c. Information is not obscene or defamatory;

    d. You will indemnify Handball Australia against any loss or damage resulting from any breach of these warranties.

    e. You acknowledge that Handball Australia is under no obligation to exercise any of the rights

    f. I certify that I am a student/parent/legal guardian and I have read this document and understand and accept the terms and conditions it contains.
